FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SAN DIEGO-BASED INDIE ARTIST, JOSH DAMIGO, RELEASES SOPHOMORE CD, “HOPE.”

San Diego, CA, July 16, 2012 – – The wait is finally over.  Rising singer/songwriter, Josh Damigo is proud to announce the release of his sophomore CD, “HOPE,” a follow-up to his debut album, “RAW.”  Packed with an amazing 17 new tracks produced, recorded and mixed by Jeff Berkley of the band,  Berkley Hart, HOPE will be available on iTunes and CD Baby on August 14, 2012.

This album picks up where the last one left off, and is the artist’s first full length studio album.  “I’m excited to show the diversity in my writing style as listeners will literally hear pop, country and blues, as well as stripped down acoustic songs that tug at the heart-strings. I believe HOPE displays a strong growth in my writing and musicianship,” stated Damigo.

This maturity is evident with the range of songs that showcase a broader selection of instrumentation, arrangement and lyrical content. The first expected single, Portland, along with other soulful and bluesy ballads, If I Had a Dollar and Just Let Me Love You depict the usual complexities of love and relationships.  While up-tempo, toe-tapping songs such as Alright and Knock You Out reflect the humorous side of Damigo that fans are familiar with.  Fast forward to the lyrically powerful, Never Gonna Let You Go, which was inspired by his brother, Nathan Damigo, an Iraq war veteran whose story was featured in “War Torn,” an HBO documentary about veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Balancing all these poignant songs, is the inspirational, Don’t Lose Hope, which ties in nicely with the album’s title.   Guest performers and collaborators on the CD include A.J. Croce, Nina Storey, B Willing James and Rob Deez.

Damigo’s years of hard work and dedicated songwriting are now paying off as his fan base continues to grow internationally via social media, YouTube and radio. In fact, his dedicated fans helped to raise over $12,000 via Kickstarter, to fund the completion of his CD, and upcoming tour.  They will not be disappointed as they will definitely experience an emotional journey with HOPE.  In mid-August, the CD release will officially kick off with events in San Diego and Los Angeles.  He is presently touring the Midwest United States to support the album, with additional dates to follow after August.
